The First of Many
First off, I want to thank you for coming to the Website!
This is the First Post for Garcia Web Consulting! So awesome! I am super glad you’re here, reading this post!
There are three main points to this post. All of which focus on me (selfishly) but need to be put out there for the world to see!
Specifically:
What I do
My name is Josh Garcia. I am a full time Web Developer, and owner of Garcia Web Consulting. Among Web Development, I also do small scale networking projects, and am able to consult on the side in regards to financial matters. I tend to dabble in everything related to Computing and Technology. From Cell Phones to Servers, my goal is to understand the nuances of all devices among our “Cloud” world.
Who I am
I am certified in Anti-Money Laundering Detection and Prevention under the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS). There are three certifications this year I’m taking to better diversify my skill set: CompTIA A+, Network+ and CCNA (all linked below). After passing those certifications, I will be looking for more information on which Web Certification is right for me. My focus on obtaining certifications comes down to one thing: I want people to understand that I’m serious about Web Design/Technology/Networking and I have the skills to back up my dedication to the craft(s).
Why I do what I do
You may be asking: “Why get certifications in computer hardware if you’re working in Web Development?” Being able to diversify streams of revenue is huge for me, and it allows me to branch out into new business ventures! That being said, I have a one year old son, and a wife who are the loves of my life. Both are my main reasons for waking up in the morning.
Given all of that, these are the three main reasons I love designing websites:
- It allows me to learn about the business in which i’m developing the website for, and provides me with a wealth of knowledge outside of web design.
- I love to interact with business owners, especially small business owners! We all have different stories, and I enjoy getting to know my clients.
- I love problem solving.
When someone has a technical issue, I love being able to provide a solution to those dilemmas.
